Urban Roots Summer Farm Fest 2010

The 2010 Summer Farm Fest was held Saturday, June 26, 2010.

Urban Roots youth hosted a community celebration on the farm to share what they have learned about sustainable agriculture and celebrate their accomplishments. Over 100 people joined us on the farm for:

Tomato and Pepper tastings

Pico de Gallo making Workshop

Face Painting

Rotten Tomato Toss

Compost Demonstration

Seed Ball Making

Educational games and more!

Urban Roots youth also guided farm tours, led volunteers in harvesting summer crops, and sold fresh produce at our farm stand. Thanks to everyone who came out and celebrated our youth and the beautiful produce they have worked hard to grow this year.

Summer Farm Fest 2009
