Joining the YouthLauch team in April of 2008 as Operations Manager, Michael works closely with the Executive Director to ensure daily operational needs of our staff and youth are met.

Michael's passion for youth development came while studying Human Development at Texas Tech University in Lubbock. Michael was the Assistant Director of Afterschool Programs for the YWCA of Lubbock and that is where he saw the need for quality programs that engage youth in community service activities.

Once in Austin, Michael worked as the Program Administrator for the 4-H CAPITAL AmeriCorps Project; this led to his passion for service. He is amazed at the incredible difference one person can make in the world around them through serving community needs.

Michael is involved with the Downtown Austin Alliance, Downtown Austin Neighborhood Association, and AIDS Services of Austin. Michael lives with his partner Paul in downtown Austin.
