Max joined the organization in August 2006. Max received a BA in American Studies from Tulane University and a Master's Degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Essex in Colchester, England. In 1999, he received a certificate in Ecological Horticulture from the Center for Sustainable Food Systems at the University of California at Santa Cruz. In central Texas, he has worked with Austin Community Gardens and with several local organic farms including Tecolote Farm, Oasis Gardens, and Pure Luck AAA Goat Dairy.
